Happy New Year! Our team started 2018 by hosting our second gift-wrapping party for Project Haiti on Saturday, January 13th. We were able to source beautiful new shoes from Nike through Good360 for the kids in La Gonave, Haiti, all of them first-generation learners who hope to attend high school someday. These shoes will enable the kids to attend school safely and regularly. Huge thank you to the Girls Varsity Soccer team from St. Francis High School who came to wrap the gifts and decorate cards and send motivating messages, some even in French! To get into the Haitian spirit, we celebrated with home-made treats like pumpkin scones and Haitian hot chocolate. It was extra-special to have the founder of the school, Kelly Kobza with us who shared more about the school, the kids and their lives.
We have successfully kicked-off our first year and we look forward to another fantastic year of gift-giving! Thank you so much!
Love,
Riya
