This means 'Good Things' in Creole, the language spoken in Haiti - the language in which 36 middle school aged kids are learning to read and write in Kelly's school. Kelly Kobza, founder of this school in Haiti, carried with her from Palo Alto 36 beautifully wrapped new shoes for the children, decorated and wrapped by the St. Francis Varsity High School Soccer team. She told us that these kids have never received new shoes, and these shoes will help motivate them to walk the distance to school and attend class regularly. We at Giftkids are thrilled to have brought them some joy this New Year.
